Phase II & III Cardiac Rehab. A dynamic, safe and professionally supervised cardiac rehabilitation service based on World Health Organisations (WHO) guidelines. Our programme is led by an experienced cardiology team including Cardiac & Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians, Clinical Psychologists & Cardiologists. Enrol in a 12week block which includes 2 x 60min exercise sessions per week, regular educational sessions & reports to GP & Cardiologist.

Hibiscus Heartbeats
Community-based heart education and rehabilitation support group for heart event survivors, people with heart disease and heart-related issues, their partners, family and whanau. The group offers peer-support, individual-directed assistance and information with a vision of 'sharing the journey with those who are on the same path'. We have guest speakers from the healthcare sector: Doctors, Cardiologists, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Cardiac Rehabilitation specialists, and provide network referrals to heart healthcare professionals in the local community. Our vision is to save lives through better community education on heart disease and improve the lives of those already living with heart disease. Meets first Tuesday of each month, 10:00am – 11:00am.

A four week CVD self-management rehab programme for cardiac patients. Includes information about exercise, dietary choices and managing your condition. Phase II. A four hour self-management risk programme for patients with risk of heart attack is also available




MediYoga
Keep your heart healthy with MediYoga. MediYoga is now coming to New Zealand and first to get it is Mount Maunganui! A 7-week-course starting on Wednesday 4th of May at 10am running every Wednesday at 10am until 15th of June. Price for the whole course is $90 and drop-in price is $15. Nelson: CPR and AED training
The Heart Foundation and Resus Nelson have teamed up to offer regular practical training sessions on CPR and the use of Automated Emergency Defibrillators (AED). This hands-on course is designed to help you develop the skills and confidence required in an emergency situation. It is a small group session, run in a relaxed and safe learning environment. It will run on the first Tuesday of every month. Cost is a gold coin donation. Bookings are essential as numbers will be limited.
