Nelson: CPR and AED training

The Heart Foundation and Resus Nelson have teamed up to offer regular practical training sessions on CPR and the use of Automated Emergency Defibrillators (AED). This hands-on course is designed to help you develop the skills and confidence required in an emergency situation. It is a small group session, run in a relaxed and safe learning environment. It will run on the first Tuesday of every month. Cost is a gold coin donation. Bookings are essential as numbers will be limited. North Shore Heartbeats

Community-based heart education and rehabilitation support group for heart event survivors, people with heart disease and heart-related issues, their partners, family and whanau. The group offers peer-support, individual-directed assistance and information with a vision of 'sharing the journey with those who are on the same path'. We have guest speakers from the healthcare sector: Doctors, Cardiologists, Pharmacists, Dietitians, Physiotherapists, Cardiac Rehabilitation specialists, and provide network referrals to heart healthcare professionals in the local community. Our vision is to save lives through better community education on heart disease and improve the lives of those already living with heart disease. Meets on the first Thursday of every month, from 10am - 11am.
